Peter Duffy Limited Apprentice, Joe Hobson, has been confirmed as the regional winner of the 2017 Construction Plant Association ”Stars of the Future” award.
Joe is in the process of finishing his level 2 plant mechanic apprenticeship with Askham Bryan College, and will be progressing onto the level 3 advanced apprenticeship in September.
Joe was nominated for the award as he has demonstrated knowledge and technical skills required for this demanding role, combined with his exemplary attendance record and high level of commitment.
With stiff competition from over 30 nominations in the region it is a great achievement for Joe to be recognised with this prestigious award. The award was judged by the CPA and CITB and the award ceremony was held at the Plantworx exhibition in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.
Peter Chapman of Askham Bryan College stated; “The Construction Plant Maintenance delivery team all believe that Joe was a very worthy winner of the regional ‘Stars of the future award’. Joe has a genuine interest in the plant industry and we have always been highly impressed by Joe’s practical skills and maturity. Joe is very motivated and committed to achieving his personal goals and I have every confidence that one day his career will develop in to a management role.”
